About this House
Since 1960, 834 Pleasant Street has been the home of a large family. There are 4 bedrooms and 2& 1/2 baths to accommodate everyone. Plus off the kitchen is a large room known as 'the shed'. It was used for quiet evenings in front of the tv or for gatherings of extended family.....even for a class reunion. Although the house was built in 1840 it is not regulated by the Athol Historical Commission. The lawn area is expansive but the old riding lawn mower has done its job faithfully over the years. Viewing the property from the street, it is a beautiful sight. In the early days it was a working farm with a large barn which has since been torn down. The barn was home to many horses, chickens and goats. Now the over-sized garage has space for two vehicles, lawn equipment, workshop, cordwood storage and space for stalls. Don't let the thought of upkeep stop you from seeing the beauty of this property which can be enjoyed by family as well as anyone driving by.....it really is a gem.
