5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are very happy at this school. The teachers balance being communicative with the students’ need to learn independence. They effectively teach quality material. The administration is visible and available if needed. The kids are nice and respectful. The school building itself is nice. Just overall very happy with CJH and glad we chose to leave the Catholic school system to come here.Parent Review6mo ago14 Reviews - Curtis Senior High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageShort version: The school is great. Above average in many things. Teachers are all really nice, the classroom is conducive to learning, the subjects are all mildly interesting at worst. I don’t have many complaints, other than maybe the cafeteria food, but thats what you get at a public high school, I suppose.Great school, 8/10 overall.Student Review1y ago9 Reviews - Chambers Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf there is a problem and it is taken to the school board the entire staff then begins to harass your student. The teachers don’t see when the kids are physically fighting in class. When students are bullying other students the teacher does nothing. Going so far as to tell the student being bullied to sleep on it when the victim tries to tell. I do not recommend this school or school district. The school will give you a grading scale at the beginning of the year but it is not the grading scale they use. Students are graded on the ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR starting from the FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. Your student can get 100% on everything but can not receive a 4 because “they haven’t learned everything for the school year” they are not graded on what they know.Parent Review2mo ago10 Reviews - Drum Intermediate School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDrum Intermediate is a wonderful school that plays an important role in our community. It provides a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment where students feel supported and encouraged to succeed. One of the school’s greatest strengths is its dedicated teachers, who work hard to make learning engaging and meaningful. They care deeply about their students and are always willing to go the extra mile to help them grow both academically and personally. The staff as a whole promotes a strong sense of community, and the school offers various opportunities—inside and outside the classroom—for students to explore their interests and build confidence. While Drum Intermediate offers many strengths, one area that could benefit from improvement is the school library. Though it remains a quiet and comfortable space for reading and studying, the selection of books could be updated to include more recent titles, diverse authors, and a wider range of genres. This small change would make the space even more engaging and valuable for students. Overall, Drum Intermediate is an excellent school that continues to make a positive difference in students’ lives and in the community as a whole.Student Review9mo ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near 8323 59th St W.

"I think that it is a really nice area or neighborhood to either retire in or to raise young kids or children in. they have excellent schools in the district tons of parks and playgrounds and walking trails and even a dog park close by along with shopping stores and convenient stores all less than 10 mins away. there is also easy access to public transportation and everything you can possibly think of is less than 10 to 15 mins away driving or by bus"

"My husband has to drive 60-120 minutes to work in Bellevue each morning. I really wish public transportation was better. It seems like it should be in such a popular area. I am disappointed in the bus routes from Tacoma. "
