I had one child attend and graduate from Jim Thorpe School district from K-12. My youngest started in Kindergarten and going into 9th grade this year. I have never had any issues with the education programs, teachers, or facility. The teachers genuinely care about their students and go above and beyond their expected job descriptions. The faculty is excellent, very attentive to issues and questions when they arise. Highly recommend this school district especially compared to the surrounding districts.

If you have a child that has any kind of learning disability expect a to be disappointed. It has been such an issue in this school to get supports needed for my child. It’s not only the special education department that needs work. This school is so broken. I honestly feel like most of the teachers are just there because it’s a job and genuinely don’t care about these kids. Having 3 kids attending this school, every single grade k-8, I’ve witnessed maybe three teachers that I felt had an interest in really teaching. Bullying is outrageous, and it’s not just the kids. I’ve witnessed staff being very unkind to a child, outside staff such as bus drivers making rude comments to kids. Over the years there has been countless issues that are never addressed by the school.
