This school is considered to be the best public school in the area. Our child excelled at this school but when we moved to a different location we discovered that our child was slightly behind his peers in certain areas. Both parents work and our child has had many different care givers in his life with no disciplinary problems whatsoever but at this school seemed to have a problem in 1st grade. Given that our child is in 2nd grade now with once again absolutely no disciplinary issues we suspect that the 1st grade teacher did not properly control her classroom. Also, our child always liked his teachers and likes his teacher now but did not like his 1st grade teacher at all and still talks about her. In general we liked the school but am glad to be in a different location with much better schools available to us.

"I Love the safe feel of Chincoteague! The 25 mile speed limit. The friendly people. The restaurants, the park and the fact I can ride my golf cart all over the island! Great schools! Wonderful police and fire department! The carnival is also great! "

"It is a very small community. Very busy tourist spot with a lot of traffic. There is opportunity for continuing education. Local jobs for teens are available. Very tight knit community. "
