"Biggest concern is deer. They like to jump out in front of cars. I recommend getting deer whistles for your car. Also, speed limits seem to be just suggestions, as no one follows them. "

"Lake living which entails water sports and fishing. There are many golf courses in the area under a sixty minute drive that are reasonably priced. The drive from Troy is a little over an hour drive."

"I moved here 21 years ago and love the peace and quiet. It is truly a sportsperson's paradise. I own a Construction and Property Management Company. I wouldn't live or work anywhere else. It's location is under a hours drive to Mt Pleasant & Midland Just 1.5 hours to Lansing & Traverse City. It's location is perfect to escape the stress of city life, yet close for your guests and family to travel to visit! "

"Very nice community. Well kept, friendly neighbors- seem to look after each other. Placid no wake fishing lake. Quiet peacefull setting. Located between Clare and Gladwin. Close to many lakes and state land for the out doors enthusiest."
