I’m about to teach at ACFT for my third year and I consider myself so incredibly fortunate to work here! Mrs.Limon, Mrs.Crook, and Mrs.Lavalle are all AMAZING and supportive administrators. When Mrs.Limon and Mrs.Crook took over the campus the brought Conscious Discipline with them. I’ve always been a big advocate for meeting kids needs before we expect them to excel in anything and CD empowers everyone on the campus to do that. We have a diverse population with students from all walks of life. I know it’s a bit cliche to say, but there really is a sense of family between staff and students. Everywhere I go I see incredible educators dedicated to meeting kids where they are and working with them to get them where they need to be. Parents and guardians, you’re your child’s biggest advocate but you best believe your child’s teacher is going to be there along side you in that here at ACFT! Birdville ISD in general is seriously dedicated to safety, and ACFT is right there with that. Those classroom doors are always locked and closed. We have school and classroom procedures in place to keep a calm and safe environment as much as possible. And if there are issues that arise, our administrators are there to support a safe learning environment. We even have a campus safety committee! Our specials team is fantastic. Our coaches work hard to teach the kids how to stay healthy and build on good sportsmanship. Our STEAM teacher provides the kids with so many opportunities to build on practical skills. And our music teacher is dedicated to fostering a love for music, not just in her class, but with a ukulele club and choir for 4th and 5th grade! (I also hear there’s a cool 3rd grade teacher who runs an art club for 3rd-5th, lol). Our custodial staff works tirelessly to keep the school sanitary and safe! They’re also the sweetest people! Our nutrition workers are lovely. They work so hard to make sure our kids get fed while also making them feel welcomed. (They’re also the reason I got vegetables in my body at all last year). Our office staff is incredible! They work so hard to keep things running while helping everyone in their path. Nurse Liz is precious and does more than hand out ice and bandages. I’ve seen her take on extra roles to help the campus when needed while working with families to help their children get their needs met. I love being here at ACFT as a teacher. My experience with this school and its staff has been truly exceptional. Throughout some unusual circumstances this school year, they have consistently gone above and beyond to provide support and care. Every staff member I have interacted with has demonstrated genuine compassion and dedication to these children, and I am incredibly grateful for all they do.

Attendance clerks need some social training to be a little flexible and more personable when dealing with people who are not here on a regular basis. I am a substitute teacher and while I like coming here 1) Shelley, who is main contact for substitutes. She ROCKS! One of the most organized,personable and knowledgeable people at Birdville HS. Wish all the substitute contacts were "Shelley". Attendance clerks,very,cold,not personable. I realize that they deal with kids,however a little smile and personality would go a long way.
