NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't recommend this school at all, I had incident with my daughter and no one care for this school to communicate or resolve this issue. The bus driver didn't show up yesterday to drop off my daughter, she doesn't have a cell phone to let me know. The school had her to stay outside in the street waiting for another bus driver to drop her off. It took from him two hours to drop her off. During this time I didn't know anything about my daughter, tried to call the school, the district, the transportations ... no response. My husband went there and the school was closed . Finally I called the police who connected me with the ISD which wasn't helpful at all. This morning I went to school to meet the principle . she refused to meet me because she is busy. Seriously!!!!! so bad school and district I will file complaint and reach out to highest level if possible. Once it's affected the kids safety no Joke in there.Parent Review3y ago - Van High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is fantastic. Contrary to what some may have said, the emphasis is definitely on academics first. State test scores show this to be true. Students here receive iPads, which takes classroom engagement to an entirely new level. The teachers are progressive and believe in building relationships with students. There’s so much favoritism if you’re not a skinny white girl or a teacher’s daughter or coaches daughter, you’ll never be included by the faculty or the students the teachers don’t care about what they’re teaching or if you’re learning. We actually experienced a math teacher, teaching math off of YouTube on an overhead projector and not interacting with the class.
