My daughter came from Longview in the middle of her 1st grade year. Upon the transition, she grew more confident in her school work and has created many great friends thus far. When entering into her 2nd grade year, I was so happy to see all of the teachers and staff greeting her and I to know her by first name! You don't get that type of personalization in students learning at the larger schools in the area. I am so happy we made the switch!

School is not welcoming and makes minority students feel very unsafe. In one instance a student reported another with a gun on the bus and since the cameras on the bus we angled so the student with the gun was not visible the reporter was called a liar and banned from riding the bus. Another student was kicked at an assembly and called a lesbian slur and principal only offered to call home. Students parents contacted police and police reported that the school does not report an alarming number of reportable offenses. On several other instances students have been harassed, called slurs, assaulted, had things thrown at them, and generally made to feel unsafe and administration has done little to nothing to fix the issues.

treated me horrible and was discussing personal info outside of school made me fell left behind and instead of trying to help me keep just sending me to the office dehumanizing
