Cottage sits with seasonal peak a views and close to where you may pop your kayak in the water. Lake Hayward is famous for no gas engines keeping the area clean and serene. Much renovation has been done to this cottage by adding a small addition and opening the older porch to enlarge the living room. Amazing cottage. Open floor plan for living room to kitchen, over sized master bedroom, nice sized bathroom with addition bedroom. Move right in with a few pieces of furniture and enjoy the rest of the summer. Wonderful flat lot for cooking a hot dog over your fire pit, grabbing a tomato right off your vine, grabbing the lawn mower from your shed and just sit and relax. Up for a party go on down to the beach and enjoy a dance, pot lucks, bingo, arts and crafts, food trucks and don't forget to enjoy the sunshine on the beaches. Close to Colchester town center so plenty of places to eat out if your just want a quick break from the fun or visit the library or any of the State Parks in the vicinity, may even go to the casinos or the Good Speed Opera House. Not lacking things to do in this predominately seasonal community.

    "Moodus/East Haddam CT is a wonder place to live. It is the type of place that has a little of everything for people to enjoy. We have a wide range of activities that cater both to the artist, nature lover, and sportsman. We have many state parks, including Gillette's Castle and Devils Hopyard, among others which offer excellent hiking opportunities. Two excellent golf clubs, including Fox Hopyard. The Goodspeed Opera House, a professional theatre company calls East Haddam home. We have many excellent restaurants both upscale and casual, if you are looking for McDonald's you have the wrong town. We have several large lakes that offer boating, swimming, water skiing, kayaking, fishing and so much more. We also boarder the CT river for more boating and fishing opportunities. The schools are small but excellent and encourage friendly well rounded students. We even have our own artist colony. We have several excellent agricultural offerings including Ray of Light Farm which rescues animals and hosts many children's programs. Foxledge Farm offers world class training for dressage riding. There is plenty of open space for hunting. All in all it is a wonderful place to live."
