About this House

Coming Soon - First showings on October 25th at the Open House from 12N - 5 PM. More pictures due by October 24th. This home was dearly loved by the owners who bought the house as-is 5 years ago as their forever home. So they started on a continuous improvement project. Alas, one of them received the job of a lifetime; so they have relocated to another state. They did some of what had been planned all along, a list almost too long to mention. Previous owners added on 500 S.F two-story extension to the back of the house, including a 20x12 kitchen with 11x9 dining area. Current owners focused first on health and safety: * Redid the kitchen adding new cabinets and stainless steel appliances, including a double wall oven and 5 burner jenn-air gas cook-top, and cabinets to the Dining Area. * Steam boiler and radiators were replaced with high velocity HVAC system and Ecobee smart thermostat and extensive new duct work. * Insulation was added to the roof, under the extension, and in some of the walls of the extension. *Plumbing was replaced with copper in the upper bathroom. * New electric panel with heavy-up to 200 amps, and rewiring of the front bedrooms. * New front-loading Washing and Dryer. * Blown-in insulation in the attic and spray foam in crawl spaces and around the band joist, *New carpet was installed in the upstairs, * the enclosed side-porch was gutted and made into a 4-season room with new insulation, Pergo flooring, and trim. * Upstairs bathroom has been gutted and completely renovated. * Well known local stone mason has installed a new inlaid brick path to the front door and, * New back patio. The current owners hope the buyers will get the same enjoyment they had out of the home and the neighborhood and the easy access to all downtown Silver Spring has to offer. First showings on Sunday, October 25th including Open House 12N - 5PM.

Whenever there is road work during rush hours there’s always a delay sometimes more than other especially on route 32 with sometimes major road work. Of late it has gotten much better because most of the work seems to be done. I must give the workers a big thank you for the exceptional work they have done even though the weather was so hot most of the time. Thank you from all the commuters of route 32. It is such a pleasure driving there now that it’s not that narrow and winding as before. Thank you workers for all your hard work. May God bless you and your family. "
