Description

This home is a solid stone "Old World" Cotswold cottage of considerable size. It has high ceilings and hardwood flooring throughout. It was last renovated in 2006 plus ongoing upgrades. Since we bought the house in 2006, all buildings that were not stone were sided with vinyl, new windows, new roof on all buildings, new HVAC (3 units one with Gas/heat pump), new deck with glass solarium, hot tub, new master bath, new kitchen, new architectural fencing around back yard (5 feet), new apartment above three car garage and new yard sprinkling system. The house is solid stone with trim and eaves in vinyl....no maintenance. Huge trees and great privacy, even though the house is in town. City water and sewage, but there is also a well that feeds the lawn sprinkling system.
The house has three bedrooms (the master has a huge marble bath with separate makeup room, soaking tub, shower, vanity, huge walk in closet, and water closet with bidet and toilet), one office, one sunroom, one library, one dining room, one living room, one mud room, kitchen with granite countertops, solid maple cabinets, and stainless appliances (the stove is 42" gas with electric convection oven) and two fireplaces. There is also a gym upstairs as well as floored/lighted attic space. The laundry room is in the basement.

There is a one bedroom 1.5 bath apartment (mother-in-law. or a real man-cave) above the three car garage with a full bath, full kitchen and a living/dining room upstairs and a laundry room 1/2 bath down stairs. There are two powered workshops in the out buildings.

Excellent location & excellent Kings Mountain Schools. The house is 5 minutes from the YMCA and Kings Mountain (sidewalks). Three minutes from I-85, but very quiet. It is 30 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport. It is 45 minutes from downtown Charlotte.

This house was appraised for re-finance in February 2015 at $$356,400.

This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.
