I attended Mohawk and graduated from the school fully ready and prepared for life after high school. My kids now go to Mohawk and I am proud of that. All the teachers at the Elementary in particular seem wonderful.

Not sure what the 1 star review is about, I have two students both with gifted IEPs and ADHD and both are on the autism spectrum to boot and Mohawk far out performs most other schools in the greater Pittsburgh area on accommodating special needs. How do I know? Well my children are in several different groups outside of school where I hear how other children with special needs are not accommodated in the least. Top tier schools where they have no emotional support teachers or paraprofessionals for kids, Mohawk does. Where IEPs are used to make the schools life and job easier and not the kids, this is not my experience at Mohawk at all. Me and my husband are newer to the Mohawk Area, we did not go to Mohawk ourselves, and while the smaller nature of the school and community mean there aren’t as many options and opportunities available for classes in the high school they do an excellent job of working with parents to make sure all kids can succeed. Is there the random teacher who might not be able to handle a certain child or issue the best way possible?Absolutely, but you will find this everywhere and I have always found Mohawk schools as a whole, willing to work out any issues with Parents.
