About this House

Once again the prolific and architect, designer, and builder, Matthew Wadlund, has created thoughtful, environmentally conscious townhouses with Berkeley sensibilities around a European-style courtyard. These new "site condos" are designed for simple, less-cluttered living, and following Wadlund's standard of excellence. All are built to LEED platinum specifications. This unit is a generous 1,500 sq.ft. and has a 180-200 sq.ft. roof deck with a 360° panoramic view, perfect for outdoor entertaining.

All homes have three stories, but they are each unique in their layout. Each includes a private rooftop patio, 3 bedrooms, (including a 'flexi room' which can easily be used as an office) and 2 baths. The main living floor, with an open kitchen, dining and living space, features 13' ceilings and a ceiling fan. It is from there that a staircase leads through a retractable skylight to the panoramic view deck. The kitchen features Bosch Energy Star certified appliances, recycled glass countertops and European-style cabinetry. There are maple hardwood floors throughout. Parking is convenient - three townhouses have carports and one has its own off-street parking spot accessed from the Page Street alley. Located in "Berkeley's Design Loop", and with a Walk Score® of 80 and a Bike Score(tm) of 98, homeowners have access to everything without use of a car. Freeway and public transportation access is within minutes.

"they would love to take their pets to the park in the area. they may not like the parking availability at certain times throughout the day. "
  • Trulia User
"There are a lot of dog walkers around during the day time, but the street lighting isn’t consistent. Also, nearby parks do not feel very safe before sunrise or after sunset. There are frequent assaults reported in the area. I make a point to only walk my dog during the day and without headphones in, so that I can be aware of my surroundings. "
  • Trulia User
"The neighbors in general are great, the gardens - well kept, there are tons of stores and things to do. "
  • Hector R.
"Berkeley is a great city to live in. Beautiful views of the bay, restaurants and shopping are close by. Sidewalks and roads need major improvement."
  • Alondratrevino
"Very easy commute to San Francisco. Transbay bus is 5 mins walking and Bart is 20 mins walking or 5 mins driving."
  • Sue H.

  • Bgates
"I've lived in this neighborhood for thirty years and I love it. We are very close friends with our immediate neighbors and friends with many others. We enjoy the walks, restaurants, cafes, the library and grocery stores—all in easy walking distance. Public transportation is easily available, a few minutes walk. This is a great neighborhood to have a dog and to raise children."
  • Sue H.
"The Bart is a short walk which makes getting around convenient- particularly to the Cal Campus from the Downtown Berkeley BART station."
  • Sue H.
"Typical town stuff- fall festival, harvest festival, farmers markets are nice and most things are walkable. Typical problems with any urban area."
  • slwhite_510
"I have lived in the area for over 10 years. There are so many restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, grocery stores, etc within walking distance or within a five minute drive. North Berkeley Bart is within a 7 minute walk; SF express bus lines on Gilman and San Pablo. Amtrak (in Emeryville) is within a 7-10 min drive. The area is bike friendly. It’s single and family area. Lots to do!"
  • Shane H.
"This neighborhood keeps getting better! Phillz coffee, Acme Bread, 4th Street Shopping, etc. We love starting our family here."
  • kimsyer
"I have lived in this neighborhood for close to three years now. I spend a lot of time on the street walking my dog and walking with my child and feel very much 'at home' here. I've met lovely people and feel the location is one of the best in Berkeley. Others in the area feel the same way. "
  • jrout1
"Having lived at different locations in Berkeley for the past 15 years, currently in North West Berkeley, this neighborhood is one of the nicer places in town. A stone-throw from the freeway, a short walk to Bart, quiet, friendly neighbors."
