7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. They are unsupportive of students and parents. When you ask for help on how to use tools like Canvas, they will not respond, even when asked several times. As a parent you will have a hard time getting direct communication from the Guidance Counselors. They are too busy dealing with bad students to help you, even if new to the district. The teachers are inexperienced and even possibly not accredited to teach in their fields. They do not have any meaningful electives. The children can be violent. There is lots of fighting on campus.Parent Review2y ago8 Reviews - Hall Fletcher Elementary

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have been very pleased with Ira B Jones. As with any school there are some areas for improvement but overall I’ve witnessed a caring and supportive community that seeks to nurture the children yet still allow them to be kids. For a public institution, Jones breaks barriers and hopefully will continue to be a supportive community for years to come.Parent Review8mo ago5 Reviews - Asheville Middle

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery open-minded and creative, experiential school. I am really happy to have my child go here. It’s not pretentious, overly controlling or rigid and yet the academics are stellar as well. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSILSA students get the benefit of a small supportive environment with caring, involved teachers, a principal who knows every student's name and a student body with a community feel. At the same time SILSA students have access to the numerous elective courses available at Asheville High - a great combination. It has also been great that the school has made parents feel welcome and involved as we have been invited to help judge presentations and projects throughout the year. Our daughter is just about to finish her first year at SILSA and we have been extremely pleased.Parent Review13y ago2 Reviews - Check out schools near 80 Oakwood Pl.

"There are no dog parks in this area - not within a walkable distance. There are abundant good sidewalks. There are some trails if you drive out of Asheville or to state parks but those also attract cyclists. Not all dogs are well socialized. "

"Lots of families for sure and public transport seems very accessible. Planning on buying in this hood. Drawbacks include noise from traffic and lack of sidewalks. Positives are its an established neighbourhood so not much new construction can be crammed in. "
