"I think they like to walk and play with dogs on the beach and boardwalk. Dogs are good companions for taking longer distance walks, especially for lonely retirees."
    • Vc C.

    • Stacie A.
"Public transportation SUCKS here. Buses are always late or never show up and the trains are super unreliable. Highly recommend owning a car if you plan on moving here "

    • Djkid F.
"Lowtide, Rippers, and Caracas on the boardwalk are an eclectic blend of diverse cultures with food music and drinks"
    • Renkenny
"the neighbor is in transition a lot of entrepreneurs are out here well Diversified but there is a panda problem with assimilating with the existing Neighbors in the neighborhood affordable housing and gentrification pushing out the existing Neighbors is a problem that can be solved eventually"
    • Danettephaseone
"Nice up and coming neighborhood. Plenty of neat eateries, bars and restaurants. Hipsters and Beach goers on the weekend. Parking can be a challenge. It is the eclectic community filled with surfers, working class people, and Seniors."
    • Fdcyouth
"Surfing. That’s right, we are the premiere surfing beach in NYC. Then there,s the food. Rockaway is not a food dessert, but rather an oasis. And the people, well if you a diverse community, that is still affordable look no further. Rockaway Beach, we have something for everyone. Take a stroll along Rockaway Beach Blvd anywhere in the 90s and you are bound to find something to please your pallet. Oh, and the night life is pretty good too. Live bands every weekend throughout the town. What’s not to love. There is even an artists colony, a welcoming LBGT scene, and plenty of arts and cultural events hosted throughout the year. "
    • Fdcyouth
"This is a great neighborhood and a flourishing community. Great shops, surfing and baked good too. And if your a foodie and even a vegan, we have something for everyone"
    • Fdcyouth
"Good surf, good food, good friends and great community growth. What more can you ask for? Did I mention long term mom and shops next to new shops, too. "
