6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhile children have had caring teachers and we are deeply grateful for the dedication of our children’s classroom teachers, and building-level staff who show up every day with heart and effort, often working under conditions that lack adequate support and increasing demands. Our overall experience has been overshadowed by persistent failures within the Special Services department—especially around safety, communication, follow-through, and delivery of services our children are legally entitled to. We've raised serious safety concerns through the proper channels, with little resolution or accountability. This isn’t a reflection of classroom teachers, who are doing their best—it’s a systemic issue that needs awareness. To quote another source, “Bayberry is no longer the crown jewel on the hill it once was” Families should be aware that navigating this system often requires significant outside support and self-advocacy. This should not be the norm.Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Valley View Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLevel of teaching has drastically fallen in last 2 years. The maths teacher doesn't teach anything at all. Children don't know even the basics about fractions, geometrical shapes and their area/volume calculations. Even the way multiplication and division is taught is totally useless. Children can't do mental maths even for basic addition/subtraction steps. This is because the maths teacher doesn't teach absolutely anything.Parent Review1y ago7 Reviews - Watchung Hills Regional High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn awe with all of these reviews. I’ll give you the fact and my experience. 1) Im Hispanic and my children are half Hispanic half black. 2) currently have 2 kids attending WHRHS - a senior and a junior who is severely autistic. My senior is currently in a handful of AP classes and the amount of support she has obtained for college is amazing. Teachers here are gracious, helpful, and fair. The amount of clubs and sports they offer are a lot, and they encourage everyone. As a minority, I teach my children about meritocracy!!! Things need to be based on MERIT, and NOT the color of your skin. So whoever said there is no diversity or inclusivity can kick rocks cuz with hard work and determination, these kids can do what they want. Now, my youngest daughter who is autistic, I have NOT had a great experience at WHRHS. I encourage those with special needs to research appropriate schools for your kids. If your child has behavioral issues, this is NOT the school for them. They do not provide ABA. My daughter has a condition called Trichotillomania (where she pulls out her own hair). She suffers from several stimming issues, and wish I would have tried to put her in a high school that would give her the services she requires. She’s a junior and hoping I can get her in a different school by next year. Needless to say, neurotypical kids at this school will thrive.. neurodivergent won’t depending on the severity. The staff special education teachers are nice, but the personal aides, I have yet to meet them, and they often change. In her previous school I was in constant communication with the aides more than her teachers. Do not expect this from this school.Parent Review1y ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near 8 West Dr.

"Not bad to take a bus to NY city. Train is far from the town. To drive by car is convenient but expensive given the rates of toll to be paid."

"I’ve lived here for 20 years, raised my kids here, the area is family friendly and safe, it’s more house than I need but love the area, the convenient shopping the commute ease to the city for work, and love it in the summer the backyard and friendly neighborhood makes it feel like a real retreat after a week of working in the city. Good schools to boot. "
