This school has a real problem with accountability as far as the teachers and administration goes. They do not administer their IEPs correctly and fail children frequently by not providing supports they are legally required to provide. They will lie and try to shame your child for their failures. Unless you fight them to be responsible they will absolutely fail your child, and will try to gaslight you the whole time. Don't expect them to actually care about your child unless they are an athlete.

We were not at all impressed with this school and after one year, chose to send our children to a different school. The class sizes are too large, the teachers seem overburdened, the classroom activities mundane.

Most of the teachers in the middle school side are very hands on for learning. They do seem to care and frequently give weekly General updates. Test score wise I am unsure why this site has them performing so poorly, if you check the two major cities closest North Adams and Pittsfield , middle school did far better particularly for science. I wish there was more enrichment opportunities but I think there are opportunities to grow and enjoy a small school community.They have fun runs in the fall, plays 2x a year and did have after school clubs in previous years. There are 3d printers and project lead the way is fun. Students are given books in the summer to read and they participate in Natures classroom. These are some of our of the school day experiences. I wish there was more afterschool clubs like what they have for high school but appreciate the opportunity to be kids without undue stress. If you are involved and talk to your child about their day I think any child would be fine, problems seem to occur when parents aren’t involved.
