"It is easily accessible to major highways. It is a very centralized location. Depending on the direction you drive, you are minutes way from either the city or a farm. It’s about a 45 minute drive to New York."
  • Annamaries26
"The school system is fantastic… Families are all well rounded and extremely friendly, great place to raise a family"
  • Durairaj
"we have nj transit bus to NYC and dunellen train station. Green Brook commute is just ok, better than some places"
  • Joyrontogether
"Nice neighborhood in general. Odd in terms of layout because its split by route 22. Its almost like green brook north of 22 which tends to be more affluent and south of 22 which is more middle class."
  • Rmackie4
"Great neighborhood. Younger families with young children are moving in. Good schools and children activities. Quiet town, a large new park opening on the east side of town. "
  • L.figi37
"our community is friendly but pretty much stays to themselves. everyone keeps there houses beautiful and all the lawns manicured. "
  • L.figi37
"the community I live in is full of growing family. everyone looks out for one another. the traffic that comes into our neighborhood I just people that live in it"
  • Karina's-wine T.
"I drive yo scotch plains to take a bus but there’s a bus on 22 nearby with limited service as well a train close by. "
  • Unspecified
"Amazing schools. Families can be a little cliquey but the kids find friends easily. Pretty diverse and lots for kids to get involved in. "
  • Unspecified
"It’s a small town feel with great schools and lots of businesses nearby. It’s got low crime and I’ve never seen a homeless person. "
  • Unspecified
"Most ppl have fenced in yards for their dogs. I’ve not once seen a stray dog or had noise complaints about barking. "
  • L. D. P.
"I don’t see many dogs. There are no sidewalks or street lights........................................................................."
  • Kevin K. J.
"I have lived here for almost three yrs and I love the area. People are friendly and area is safe. There are a few restaurants in close distance and others not too far away."
  • Sairenss1
"Mature trees! The landscaping is gorgeous. While unfortunately split by route 22, the many neighborhoods that make up Greenbrook are clean, beautiful and upper middle class without being snooty. Greenbrook boasts great schools, lovely homes and neighbors, and gorgeous gardens within little nooks everywhere in the neighborhood."
  • James C. L.
"I reside and work in this and the adjacent municipalities ~ it's a gorgeous area featuring beautiful topography, close proximity to premier public and private schools, world-class shopping, houses of worship of all types and public transportation to Jersey City & Manhattan."
  • bbbhansen
"Green Brook is a wonderful town to grow up in, quiet considerate people, well kept neighborhood, private backyards, with Blue Ribbon schools. Recommended for families, couples, and retirees. The NYC bus is within walking distance and 1 mile to the train, along with easy access to Rt 22, Rt 78, and Rt 287. There are about 6 nearby parks that are great for kids. So you can have your cake and eat it too! A wonderful house and neighborhood, private yard and you can travel easily to any NJ/NY/PA attraction you can find. This house is clean, well kept, with spacious rooms and a lot of storage. It is larger than most, having a 3 room addition and garage enlarged to 2 1/2 car size. The original owner is just leaving after 55 years. Many people love Green Brook and live out their days here especially in this neighborhood. There are still other original owners living here so it is not every day that houses are up for sale here. It is a great safe neighborhood to live in, where you can walk outside at night or to friend's houses, or to several nearby towns. Even the traffic is metered by the near by traffic light that allows easier driveway access. Please come and see this house which has been kept in good working order and been updated and enlarged. You will love the walk-through spaciousness which is hard to find, even in larger homes. It also has room to expand or add bathrooms. You have to come see, walk through it, to fall in love with it!"
