There are certainly opportunities for parents to get involved with their child's educational goals and needs. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal and vice principal were excellent at this school. Some of the teachers were amazing and really cared about the kids, were engaging and did fun things (like end of year Katahdin camping trips!). However, there was one 7th grade teacher who was the worst teacher experience of our lives here, and we never once had a bad repoir with a teacher before. She frequently yelled at the kids and belittled them, often to tears. Two students left for private school because of her, I wish I had done that with mine. I don’t think she had a compassionate bone in her body. I won’t go into details because she is no longer a teacher there, so you won’t have to worry about her.Bullying and harrassment rampant, and not just by the miscreant types of kids (and there are plenty of those even in Gorham). Some of the “popular” athletes were the worst, especially the girls.Parent Review4y ago
