5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy older son enjoyed his 4th grade year at CB Lamb. His teacher was a caring woman who enjoyed giving him challenges, to which he responded quite well. His only academic complaint was there was no official honor roll (he was an A student and is competitive). The curriculum was fantastic; the students were challenged and given many opportunities to learn. Many elective-type classes: Spanish, computers, PE, art, music and chorus. I am sure I am missing some. My son's other complaints: too many no recess days (we think the aides didn't want to be outside), the school requiring my son zip his jacket in winter even though the boy was hot and sweaty (I had to intervene on his behalf; let hte kids make their own choices, this is not something to try and regulate). I was under the impression it was a great district, but it didn’t take very long to see how awful it really was. I had two children there, one graduated before we moved, but no thanks at all to Northern. It was an alternative school that saved her. The other fell behind during Covid at home schooling. And that’s where they were happy to leave him. They prioritize their salaries over helping struggling students succeed. They offer absolutely nothing by way of character. There are too many racist/bigoted incidences to list. There was even a viable shooting threat made on the bus. Nothing is done about it, ever. Since we moved, my son has caught up on the year he stayed back being there and is now graduating a year early. He actually likes school now. Students here are extremely unkind and make racial comments to others as white people. "there are 2 buses that run through town. The earliest is 7 am. the last is 9pm. Otherwise you will need a car."

"My only real issues is the uncertainty of parking, my apartment in particular is above the boiler so its ALWAYS 80 degrees in there, and only about 50% pick up after their dogs so you gotta watch where your kids play. Overall I feel safe, the apartment looks modern, the onsite manager is very friendly, and having food within walking distance is a plus. "
