My child attended K-4 and we could not be happier with the school. The teachers and staff know each and every one of the kids that attends as well as many of the parents, emphasis is put on community--all children are included and valued and they each know it and examplify this with the way they value and cheer on their fellow classmates. I cried the day of fourth grade graduation for not only was I proud of how far my child had come, but it felt like saying good bye to family. EVS is truly the best and are truly helping the parents raise outstanding individuals. Required testing can only show how well a student tests--not the amazing and brilliant individuals they are becoming.

The school has been rebuilt and is beautiful. The teachers are very engaged with the kids and it shows in the progress that has been made in recent years. We are seeing the great improvement in the students from investing in them with a great building.

Overall, our child has thrived academically and socially at IRS. We have found most teachers to be extremely caring. The office staff and school leaders provide clear communication. Our family has felt welcomed. The middle school years can be challenging and IRS has supported our child’s growth and development in healthy ways. As a small rural school serving a diverse community, IRS does a good job of offering a strong and holistic foundation for our kids.
