2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDuring the early days of the pandemic I was finally able to figure out what the heck was going on, and why the Manor schools were trying to put my kid in gifted and talented. My son is very smart but we came from a financially well endowed public school where the kids were academically where they were supposed to be or above. By trying to put my kid in the GT program it was a form of kicking the can down the road. After we moved my kid had to play a little catch up academically and when asked said that he was thankful we had the resources to move, and that even though he had to undergo a process to get into MNTHS, he was worried about his peers unpreparedness to advance to a university setting. Manor has potential but as it stands there exists some discipline issues( I was once at the school and quickly locked in a room as an all out brawl broke out, I paid and lost to sticky fingers and the fact there are NO lockers multiple glue guns and various school supplies. In the years between 4-9th grade there were some excellent teachers and I tried to support them either with supplies or volunteering but they need help! The district we originally came from( different state) all teachers had a para professional in the room, and way more peripheral help. I am confident as new homes are built and real estate taxes are dispersed this district has the potential to be great.Parent Review6mo ago18 Reviews - Decker Elementary School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is not the same school that it was a few years ago. A new principal and administrative staff as well as an invigorated staff and active student body have all played parts in rewriting the story for Decker Elementary. As a parent, I am proud to send my children to school each day.Parent Review14y ago3 Reviews - Decker Middle School

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't believe the teachers or staff truly care about all the students succeeding. They play favoritism and only help those they want to. There's no guidance for these children and in sports they only choose the kids that are really good leaving the other ones to sit out the entire games so what's the point in even joining a sport just to sit on the bench wasting parents money paying to see their child play when they never even get time to play. This school is a joke! No wonder it has a F rating.Parent Review3mo ago11 Reviews - Check out schools near 78653 U.

"This neighborhood is not near public transportation. During peak hours, 7:30am-9am and 3:45-6:30 it can take 45-50 minutes to get downtown. It’s just 20 minutes when traffic is flowing. "

"Super close to the freeway and honestly tucked away so hardly any traffic ever and I love it and would definitely recommend the area. The only downside is is sometimes the homeless population gets a little out of control and can be quite aggressive. They also dumpster dive very frequently, but for the most part, they are really nice and respectful."

"Food truck really close walkable distance to anything and everything. Friendly neighborhood. I’ve met half the people on my block. A lot of people walk their dogs. It’s a family friendly neighborhood. I see the neighbors walking with their children and their families are comfortable visiting them here in this neighborhood. I feel safe in this neighborhood. It’s a quiet neighborhood. There’s the capital Metro rail and it’s not loud. It’s Neighbourhood friendly. I recently had a tree farm in my yard and someone visiting a neighbor on my block, called the police department for me and notified me right away during the storm."
