It's a very standard school. As someone who graduated from this school, I can confidently say that students at this school do not respect their teachers or the faculty. It really is just an issue of students not wanting to go to school or have to obey basic rules. If you want to do well in this school and beyond there are plenty of opportunities to do so, it's just that many students do not want to be at school.

Learning: Strongly DisagreeThe students here feel excited about learning the same way prisoners feel excited about their daily meal. Mostly just counting down the minutes until the bell.Teaching: Strongly DisagreeMost teachers seem like they gave up teaching around 2018 and are now just babysitting with PowerPoints from 2009. Respectful? Supportive? Motivating? Only if your idea of motivation is being told to "do better" while getting zero actual help.Special Education: Strongly DisagreeIf you need any kind of support, good luck. The "support" feels like they read the IEP once in September and then hoped it would fix itself.Safety: Strongly DisagreeThe school claims it's safe, but the drama, fights, and random screaming in the hallways make it feel more like a poorly supervised zoo than a learning environment. The "zero tolerance" policy only seems to apply when it's convenient.Social-emotional support: Strongly DisagreeMental health? Emotional well-being? They have a poster about it in the counselor's office that nobody has looked at since Obama was president. If you're struggling, the best advice you'll get is "just talk to someone" while they hand you a referral slip and send you back to class.Family Engagement: Strongly DisagreeFamilies are "welcomed" as long as they don't actually ask questions or point out problems. Otherwise it's radio silence until report card time.Written review:Memorial Middle School is the kind of place that makes you wonder how it still has a building standing. The teachers are burned out, the administration is invisible until something goes wrong, and the "learning environment" feels more like a holding pen than an actual school.The classrooms are outdated, the Wi-Fi is slower than dial-up, and half the time the AC doesn't work so everyone just sits there slowly melting while pretending to care about whatever worksheet we're doing for the 47th time.If you're a normal kid trying to learn, good luck. If you're struggling with anything (grades, mental health, bullying), the school basically shrugs and tells you to figure it out. The only thing this school is consistent at is making everyone count down the days until summer or high school — whichever comes first.Save yourself the headache and avoid this place if you have any other options. 10/10 would not recommend to my worst enemy.and some people have gotten sexually harrased

I love this school! My oldest daughter has high functioning Autism and is doing awesome here! Very inclusive and the staff is very supportive. My nero-typical child is doing awesome too!.
