Amazing and diverse school with a great teaching ability

I'm so impressed with this school. As an educator of over 20 years and as a parent of children who have attended dist65 and private school, this is by far the best school I've ever seen. It beats any school I have been to, worked at, or have sent my children. The principal runs a tight ship and knows how to run a school in which staff and children are equally content. It's rigorous but also tends to SEL curriculum. Teacher communication has been excellent. The principal and office staff know every single kids name in the entire school. They can even pronounce my kids' difficulty last name. We are on our second year at EPS and are grateful. They have an array of acceleration programs and intervention to keep my advanced student happy and my struggling learner on track. I'm not sure why this isn't a 10/10 school because I can't see a single thing they could improve. Plus, the kids don't have to switch building every few years and loose out on valuable learners to transition. Pre-K to 2nd is on one floor, 3rd-5th on another, and middle school is on the third floor. I also feel like my kids are in a safe building as it was constructed recently and it's difficult for anyone to enter. The diversity is fantastic as well. Class sizes are reasonable (22 students with multiple staff in each room so far). I highly recommend this school to everybody.
