About this House

Lovely, bright unfurnished colonial in downtown Silver Spring. Walk to Silver Spring Metro and Sarbanes bus transit center in less than 10 minutes. The house was built in 1921, has tons of character (e.g., original moldings and yellow pine floors), and is well maintained. The bathroom and kitchen are newly remodeled, heat/AC units were updated in 2016, and there is a partially finished basement with a washer/dryer and plenty of storage. There's a covered front porch, good sized fully fenced backyard, walk out patio/deck off of the kitchen, and a vegetable garden, raspberry bushes, fig and pear trees, and a wide variety of trees, shrubs, and flowers. There's driveway parking for two cars and a on-street pass can be acquired from Montgomery County. The house is in a great, community-oriented neighborhood There is also easy access to Sligo Creek Park a few blocks away which is great for cycling, dog walking, and picnics. The local elementary and middle schools (East Silver Spring Elementary School and Takoma Park Middle School) and Montgomery College are only a few blocks away as well. Available: February 10th and will consider 6, 12, and 18 month lease options. Security deposit: $3000. Application fee: $40/person (each adult who will be living here must be on the lease and undergo a credit check).

We are open to other lease terms as well (e.g., 6 months, 18 months). Can be partially furnished.

"I was nervous about living in Maryland and working in downtown DC. Because I am from out of state I was unsure of that the commute would be like and how far I’d be from work. I live a block away from the metro station and it is a quick and easy commute. About 25-30 minutes to downtown DC. Couldn’t as for a better commute!"
