4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOf course minority schools get the worst education. I moved to Massapequa and was told my son would be going to Berner Middle School which is across the street from where we live. My son has always attended culturally diverse schools which I should have known better because Berner doesn’t have one student of color which in 2022 is ridiculous. My son is special needs and was stuck with an aide that spent the day texting instead of being concerned with my child’s needs. I had the aide switched, sent him to after school programs and he’s still not excelling. I’m my previous school my son retained everything he learned. Of course that was in Baldwin Harbor where the school had more then 5% students that weren’t minorities. I tried switching schools and aside from moving they offered nothing except the “zoned” school. The staff is very nice there but that’s not the problem. Our children deserve a better education. Now I’m being told that my son after spending a year in this “school” he can’t attend the dance or moving up ceremony. Great place for moral huh? Making these minority kids stay in their lane” If you have to relocate then do it. Don’t send them to this place. They don’t care about the kids education at all.Parent Review3y ago9 Reviews - Amityville Memorial High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved to MASSAPEQUA so my child could attend the high school in Massapequa. They ZONED him to Amityville for obvious reasons ( skin color) My son is autistic and could remember a dictionary beginning to end. Since attending this school he has regressed. There’s constant fighting, lockdowns and chaos. Now i’m in the process of sending my child to private school. The school needs to be shut down! Every year there’s a new principal and why is that??? If your kid has an IEP please don’t send them there if you want your child to have a future because clearly they don’t care about the students at all!!! Also, the first couple of weeks you see white students but a month later NONE! You do the math!!Parent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Northeast School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLove everything my child is getting to experience here! He is so well taken care of. He has sensory issues and the silliness of the teachers to adapt to each child and their particular needs is astounding to me. New administrative team has created such a positive environment. Could not be more happy!Parent Review9y ago3 Reviews - Check out schools near 75 Warwick.

"Commute is not bad. Centrally locates. Sunrise Highway can get congested with all the lights. Commute in morning better than afternoon. Friday afternoon the most congested in summer when people are heading out East for weekend. Morning commute most congested when school is in session. Long Island railroad into city is great. "
