2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a paraeducator for Fruit Valley for just under two years (2022-2024), and it was an intense mixture of good and bad. The kids were awesome, and the principal was a great guy, but the teaching staff were absolutely brutal (a few of the higher-up paras were hard to deal with as well). I don't know that I've ever experienced so many busy bodies and know-it-alls in my life as a professional. Most of the teachers here seemed resentful and jealous of my abilities, and it became obvious that the kids were far more comfortable around me than the majority of the teaching staff. There were, of course, a few exceptions, but for the most part the teachers at this school were catty, immature and completely unprofessional with constant gossiping and talking behind people's backs at every turn. I found the majority of the teaching staff to be histrionic and very self-centered who would throw tantrums if they couldn't get what they wanted. The principal would bend over backwards for as many people as he could, and it still wasn't enough for these teachers. I loved the job when I first started, but by the end of the second year I couldn't wait to leave. It was a tough decision to leave as the kids loved me and I was able to build great relationships with them, but the constant nonsense coming from the teaching staff made me rush to the door to get out of there. If you're a para thinking of coming to Fruit Valley, be wary, this teaching staff will not respect you!Other Review1y ago9 Reviews - Hudson's Bay High School

"Rose Village has grown tremendously over the years and continues to improve. With the beautiful new Ida Bell Jones Park, upgraded sidewalks, reflective street safety markers, and speed bumps that help keep traffic at safe speeds, the neighborhood is becoming even more welcoming and family-friendly. Whether you’re raising a young family or looking for a peaceful place to retire, Rose Village offers a safe, walkable community with convenient access to parks, local amenities, and everything Vancouver has to offer."

"Not sure, but sometimes there are a few dog owners that don’t pick up their dog poop and that is disguising. So maybe that would be something certain dog owners would enjoy. That they would fit in. Other than that, i am not sure what else any dog owners would enjoy. I don’t have any pets or any dogs so I would not know what else I could say about that "

"Puppies are walked all the time. Almost everyone has a pet of some kind. People are respectful of leash laws and don’t let their furry friends wander the neighborhood unaccompanied."

"It is advertised as pet friendly, but if you apply to view or talk to staff you will be denied because you have pets. It will also show you that pets are not allowed on the link. False advertising and extremely misleading information. Would not recommend for pet owners. "

"Safe neighborhood close to the 500 with quick access to interstates. You do occasionally hear airplanes being this close to the airport, but overall it’s a great area. Costco 10 minutes away, roughly 20 minute commute to OHSU depending on traffic. "

"The commute to Portland is horrific. If you live here you should work here and not across the river unless you enjoy activities like slowly poking yourself in the eye with a sharp stick. If you are working anywhere in West Vancouver (including downtown) I would say it’s a pretty quick trip. "
