"I work from home and do not commute but there is easy access to everywhere in town and close enough to a few restaurants that folks who are able could walk. During the winter it can be tricky due to hills but that issue presents itself all over the city."
  • JD
"There’s not a lot of people and it’s very quiet. Everywhere you go, people would greet you. Been here a year already and never heard of any crimes or bad things that have happened in town so far. "
  • Rick Shaver
"We have a dog park less than one block away. We have the levee near by. The levee is just about six miles long. Great place to take your dog for a run. "
  • Bud M.
"Dogs are generally on leash. it's a desirable location for dogs and cats. What we don't like is dog's messing our lawn and not picking up the deposits! "
  • Gwenlibby
"Very quick. Could walk work is so close. Barely any traffic. Highway accessible if need to go to next town. "
  • Tracicarothers
"It’s quiet with friendly people and low crime. It’s a good area to raise kids in. We are on the edge of town which allows us to have a variety of animals. My daughters each own a horse that they find special."
  • Tracicarothers
"Lots of parks and areas just outside town to let the dogs loose. Also, several quiet neighborhoods that are nice to take walks in. "
  • Rick S.
"We have a river walk altar makes it nice to go on a walk. On the river walk we have lots of trash cans available. "
  • Garnerknowledge
"lots of kid friendly activities from robotics to art classes. Two local swimming pools, a splash pool, gymnastics and ballet. Many well kept parks with running water and bathrooms during the warm season. A lovely family focused community and to too it all off a wonderful homeschool co-op, everything a family needs."
  • Bud M.
"Drive by car, or walk to the park. We live about a mile from services, so it is necessary to be able to drive. Our area supports a great park with lots of walking paths. It is great for biking too. "
  • Bud M.
"We have lived in the same house for 51 years. Our neighborhood is quite, caring, and considerate. We don't even have an animal problem. People walk with their pets on a leash. and most of the time pick up after their pets. The neighborhood is flat, easy to walk, bike, jog etc.. A great place to raise a family. At night it cools down because of McKay Creek. "
  • Brady
"There are lots of parks and it’s relatively safe other than the homeless population which consists of mainly drug users. I’d also be wary of recently released convicts from the prison facility here in town."
  • Destaneejones011400
"Most of my neighbors have and adore dogs so sometimes every now and then we see each other out and compliment the dog, get to talking about dogs hahaha."
  • Trista R.
"In the areas you can have dogs its great. Almost always another dog owner around. A lot of parks and green grass everywhere. Perfect for a dog owner."
  • Trista R.
"I have lived in Pendleton my entire life. Its a great little town with beautiful homes. my neighborhood is close to the Round-Up ground so I can hear the kick off concert loud and clear. That's the best part. "
  • Jubileehowell
"There are a lot of dogs around my neighborhood so you have to be mindful of that when walking your dogs so as to not have an unexpected issue. Leashes are a good idea...especially with all the wild peacocks, birds and deer around. "
  • Mariposa75
"The people that live here are ordinary and we don't have to keep our yards perfect. Easy going and feels safe. "
  • Selizmac
"It's a mix of small town Western living, and dealing with modern problems like a failing retail economy, drug use, and homelessness."
  • ajuliet_16
"Live in this neighbor hood and there is a mix of people. Perfect for feeling like you're not "in" the city but close to shopping, convenience stores, restaurants, athletic clubs, NEW HOSPITAL etc... "
