Yorktown, from a teacher's perspective, allows educators to truly guide the students through the material while they learn autonomy. Students come with a base knowledge that requires some examples, needs reinforcement for good behavior, and shows they desire more education from various sources. Educators at Yorktown have a variety of materials to show personal connections that create a connection from the knowledge to the student. We have the time that is needed to guide the students through the material.

My son was in 6th grade this year and this was his first year here. SOME teachers provided no support when it came to bullying and was very discouraging. I think the approach to handling bullying needs to be worked on and so does the way they handle when a child is sick. I feel thier first concern was jist having students back to school and not the well being of the students or the ither students around. I will not beenrolling my student in the school next year.
