Neighborhood Description

Neighborhood has been in transition -- during my time here, crime has been at an all time low, gangs have been nearly non-existent (in 4+ years I have never seen evidence of them on our block), and the neighborhood has been on an upswing in terms of residences and businesses taking care of their property's appearance. Paramount has a forward thinking neighborhood beautification program, where they'll pay up to 75% of certain projects that will increase a property's curb appeal, like new windows, doors and fences. A recent LA Times article (6/26/07) detailed all of the wonderful things that city of Paramount has done to give it the 2nd fastest growing real estate market in all of LA County. It's a great time to be a homeowner in this city.
