    "I grew up close enough to this area to know it was a place to avoid... it has had a reputation for trouble but the police and neighbors have really worked hard to rid this area of the negative activity. I have lived here 3 years with my 2 kids and feel safer here than in most parts of Mesquite where I grew up. Now days it is more important to be involved with your childrens daily challenges than it is to pass judgement on the surrounding area. The richer the area, the more money people have to use on drugs, weapons, etc."
