As a parent of a child with disabilities, I cannot recommend this school based on our experience. Families who rely on communication, support services, and appropriate accommodations for their children deserve a school environment that is compassionate, responsive, and consistent. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.One of the most concerning issues we faced was the continuous bullying my son experienced while attending this school. As parents, we repeatedly raised concerns and hoped the administration and staff would take meaningful action to ensure his safety and emotional well-being. Instead, we were left feeling unheard and unsupported while our child struggled in an environment that should have protected him.I also personally witnessed staff members distracted on their phones during times when they should have been actively supervising and ensuring student safety. As a parent, it was deeply concerning to see a lack of attentiveness in situations where my son’s well-being and protection should have been the priority.In addition, there were serious concerns regarding how the school handled my son’s educational accommodations and services. At one point, staff attempted to make changes to my son’s IEP without properly conducting an IEP meeting or fully involving us in the process. This raised significant concerns for our family regarding compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the rights afforded to students with disabilities and their parents.Rather than feeling like collaborative partners in our child’s education, we often felt dismissed when advocating for his needs. A school should be a place where all children — especially those with disabilities — are treated with dignity, respect, and care. Sadly, our experience did not reflect those values.I understand that no school is perfect, and educators face many challenges. However, schools have a responsibility to provide a safe learning environment and to follow appropriate procedures when supporting students with disabilities. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage other parents of children with disabilities to carefully research, ask detailed questions, and fully understand their rights before enrolling their child here.

Sadly, this school put my child with special needs in danger and then completely abandoned her. This was our home district and we were happy to get my children into what we thought was a kind and inclusive school community. The problem at Miles wasn't the teachers, they are caring and creative, the problem is poor resources and ineffective and inflexible administration. The district will try to get out of paying anything they can for students with special needs. I had a letter documenting my child's need for an aide from her developmental pediatrician and they had the data from the school showing she clearly needed 1:1 support but they still would not provide it due to the cost. When my 5 year old got away from her teacher who was in charge of a whole kindergarten class and ran into a busy street they finally recognized that she needed some aide support. That was several months into the year when she had already been endangered by their reckless policies. Then when school went to online only in March 2020 and my 6 year old child with special needs could not learn that way, admin just gave up and refused to educate her. They would not bring her in for tutoring or any services, nothing, even though her special ed teacher recognized that she could not learn online and wanted to teach her in person and felt she could do it safely, admin refused and completely abandoned her. The school has remained shuttered for an entire year now, 12 months, to students who desperately needed in person education, what a travesty, I feel terribly for any students stuck in TUSD who needed in person education and have list out on so much. I am so incredibly thankful we got our kids into CFSD, they are doing an excellent job educating all children safely even during a challenging year and are a much more welcoming and inclusive community!

This school needs updated reviews! The principal, Mrs Sanders is amazing. All the teachers are great and really caring about the students. They have alot of great extra curriculars and programs and they do alot to give back to the community as well. Im so glad we found this school for my daughter to thrive in. I do wish bullying was addressed more but it doesn't happen more here than elsewhere

This school sets you up well for the future with a great counseling department and effective teachers. Yes, there is a hefty workload, but this is communicated to incoming students before they enroll. It has a good environment and a helpful staff. If a student can stick with it and get through their freshman year, I can guarantee they will be successful through their high-school career and beyond.

I considere Pueblo excellent, a school is not a building, we made the school, if there is something that we don't like from the school, we need to start making some changes on us. what we look to see in our school, we have to put it in. This program helps students who cannot attend classes for a variety of reasons. This helps students attain their education despite difficult circumstances.
