Most of the reviews here are old. The school now has a new principal who was a former teacher and who is excellent. This is very much a community school and I am incredibly impressed with their focus on social emotional growth and positive behavior. My child loves school and so far every teacher is excellent. There is also a very active parent support between an active PTA that provides lots of community activities for families, free parenting classes, and a resource staff that connects families to services (veggie boxes, free hike helmets, etc..) I also have to commend the afterschool programs. The one our child goes to is top notch and the staff are very professional and wonderful with the kiddos.

I had to pull my child from this school. Small mountain town, if your child finds the right group he/she can have success. Otherwise the school can be pretty grueling. Some of the teachers are great, others not so much. There is a lot of racism/homophobia at all three schools. Probably because it is a mostly white school. Current admin is good, but need much more support to change the climate.

This school has lots of potential. Lots of sports programs, small town feel, and small class sizes. However, the district or the administration are very resistant to change. They like to do things the way they always have. Practices that were effective in the 1990's are not effective now. The school definitely tracks students and because of the size of the school, students get put into classifications, they they can never get out of. There are many examples of racism and homophobia at the school due to it's largely white population. Some of the teachers do a great job, others probably shouldn't be there.
