  • Alwasner
"This is a wonderful area to live in, although it rains a lot and has winter storms. It doesn't have nearly as much rain as many other coastal areas of Oregon, and average of 67 inches as opposed to 80-90 inches in other areas of the coast. The ocean is so close here and watching how it changes every day is a real joy of living here. There's very little crime of any kind. Trails, beaches, campgrounds, biking is all right at your doorstep. The restaurants in this part of Oregon are surprisingly good, and there are many good choices, as it's a touristy area. The tourists have never been a problem for us, the traffic doesn't get horribly heavy or anything like that. Oregon "Green" is where this is at with Spruce forests, wild rivers, and logging trucks. But the ocean dominates and is a constant source of joy. Medical care is the better here than anywhere else along the Oregon coast. "
