The teachers at Hattie Dyer truly care about the kid's safety, education, and their wellbeing. They help the kids' set goals for themselves and explain to them it's not about getting 100% but it's about growing. My child never felt alone or left out being the new kid in town. As a single mom with 2 boys, my experience with the school district has been extremely positive. I have seen them have to make some hard, necessary, and perhaps, unpopular decisions based on the current conditions but all with the motivation of keeping children and staff safe. I am grateful to the district for the option of in person learning and the educators who showed up in this pandemic to teach. My son is not in sports and not in accelerated classes and reports having a good experience with all of his teachers, especially Mr. Smith, which he describes as kind despite not being a Cowboys fan :) Everyone I have interacted with has been helpful and kind and I feel fortunate to live in a supportive educational community.Parent Review5y ago
