4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis will be my second year of going to this high school and I think people over exaggerate about it being a bad school. It lets u be something. Let's u be part of the family. Garfield has soo much potential and good students. They offer so many things.Don't let a few kids get to u. Oh and u should definitely join student council :)!!! You'll have fun in this school. At least I do.Student Review11y ago5 Reviews - Innes Community Learning Center

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs somebody who attends this school, this is by far one of the worst schools ive been to, there is to many fights way to much bullying and the teachers and principal just don't care, I have always enjoyed going to school, but not this one though, I recommend that you don't send your kid here, believe me you will regret it, at my first year in this school I was already being picked on and it was always so hard to concentrate on my work and it really effected my grades, ao far since i've been there 10 kids left and im about to be one of them I cannot stand it anymore, kids were going around stabbing other kids with pencils and making tiktoks about it, every single morning we have to walk through a metal detector to make sure nobody is carrying weapons, it's just crazy....Please I beg you, DO NOT SEND YOUR KID HERE!!!Student Review3y ago6 Reviews - Voris Community Learning Center

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVoris CLC is like having a second family. I absolutely love the teachers and staff there. They are some of the most kind hearted, respectful, trustworthy people I know and I am comforted to know my children are in their care during the day when I am not around. They go above and beyond getting to know the kids and the families of the students. I couldn’t have asked for a better elementary school for my children!Parent Review4y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 725 E Waterloo Rd #D.

"This is a nice neighborhood, people keep to themselves but wave hello when walking past. Not a lot of issues with loud people or disruptive noise. I’ve felt comfortable knocking on a neighbor’s door when necessary. People maintain their properties well, I feel safe walking around, and there are frequently kids playing outside or people walking their dogs. I feel safe letting my children play outside. "

"Live here for roughly 5 years it’s quiet as Akron gets so if you’re used to living in the city it’s Beverly Hills but you still can’t leave yourself vulnerable in the city "

"quick and easy to get on the highway, when there's no construction. I commute to Cleveland via 77. driving in the neighborhood is rough because the roads are not maintained. "

"Safe, friendly neighbors and clean. We have a neighborhood watch near us and everyone seems to get alone and lookout for one another. I can go out at night to my car with no issues and bring family over to enjoy family time with no issues as well. Thumbs up in our neighborhood."

"In regards to how nice the area is where you live, it depends on where you’re located in Firestone Park. It encompasses a fairly large part of Akron. The best locations are west of Route 8 South. "

"Heavy traffic on N Firestone at all times of the day. The smell of dogs are every where. Cops live in the area. The yards are kept up well. A lot of people walk down the streets at all hours of the day. "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost 5 years. The part of Firestone Park that I live in has its good moments, but overall I don’t recommend my part of the neighborhood due to crime rate. We are planning on moving within a year. "
