"good schools great neighborhood. not far from parks. "

"My family and I moved to Carleton from the Downriver area (Southgate) in 2009. Carleton/Ash Township is a laid back area with a lot of community involvement and great parks! There are also many different affordable sports and activities for kids all year through the schools, township, & city hall. Half way between Woodhaven shopping and Monroe shopping, it's a dose of country near the city. There are neighborhoods for people who prefer to be in a close knit neighborhood and there are many homes with land for people who want the space, even farm land. I obviously think it's a great place to raise a family, but it's also a great place to retire. We love it here! One of the nicest communities around!"
