All four of our children have attended Pine Island Elementary and we have no real issues to complain about. There are plenty of opportunities for parents to be involved with their childs education. The school is often looking for parent volunteers. Learning came very eady to our youngest son needed to be challenged academically, the school agreed and stepped up to the challenge of ensuring our child was challenged to keep him engaged.The school is large enough to offerr opportunities and small enough that your child is not a number. From our experience, the teachers and administrators have been very open to communication with the parents and willing to listen. The teachers and staffWe also had another child that is deaf-hard of hearing. Again, the school did an excellent job of ensuring resources and needed equipment was available. I would recommend this school for many reasons, I think the best reason is that your family and child are recognized as people, not numbers. The community of Pine Island does an excellent job of supporting the school.
