We moved to Manz a couple years ago from a larger elementary school also on the south side, and we could not be happier. It has a very small neighborhood school feel and is so welcoming to everyone regardless of background. My child was bullied incessantly at the previous school and here he has been accepted and treated with kindness. He said “I didn’t know what it was like to come to school and have people talk to me.” The teachers are so caring and engaging as well. We love Manz and the Putnam Heights/Mitscher Park neighborhood!!

Memorial truly prepared me academically. Couldn't have asked for a better education, and in that regard it definitely deserves 10/10. I've had university classes easier than classes I took here. I would feel very comfortable sending my child here. The main downside is the cliques, and the difficulty I've seen new students have trying to make friends. Many people in Eau Claire have lived here for generations and though it's a large town, everyone still manages to know everyone--especially because the south side (54701) and the north side (54703) are virtually different towns completely. There's also a slight drug problem and some people complain of a lack of friendliness. Move here when your kids are young and get them involved in activities and you should be fine.

They don't care about the kids well being at this school, especially when a child reaches out for help in dire need, they say there's nothing they can do.
