Room Description

Private Room + Bathroom for Rent
$1,500 + utilities - Move in ASAP - 80221
Looking for one easygoing roommate to share my three-bedroom home. It'd be just you, me, and my dog Bear and your own private setup downstairs. Move-in is flexible, but I'd love to get someone to sign as soon as possible.

Your space
The whole basement is essentially yours a private, unfurnished bedroom and bathroom, so you get your own floor and plenty of privacy. You'll also have a dedicated parking spot (plus free street parking for guests) and extra basement closet space for clothes or storage.

The good stuff
There's a keg on tap and a basement den built for hanging out dartboard, board games, and a projector with Apple TV and most streaming apps for movie nights. Outside, you've got a Blackstone grill, a firepit, garden herbs, and a fenced backyard. The office/guest room is open to you to use, too.

About me
I'm 28, queer, and work from home most days. I'm big on the outdoors camping, hiking, snowboarding love to cook and grill, and I play a lot of rec sports. I'm social and happy to share a beer or a meal, but I also value my downtime. I keep the house tidy, so I'm hoping for someone who cares about that too.

The location
A quiet neighborhood just 11 minutes north of Coors Field. 420-friendly. The kitchen comes fully stocked with appliances and cookware, so there's really no need to bring much.

About Bear
He's a big lab/Pyrenees mix and a total baby, though he can get anxious around a lot of new people so when you have folks over, he'll chill in my room. I'd love a roommate who's comfortable with big dogs. Open to people with pets, too.

Who I'm hoping to find
Someone kind, clean, reliable with rent, and respectful of the space (and me!). I'd prefer a woman or queer person, but I'm open to anyone if it's the right fit.
If this sounds like your kind of place, send me a quick message with a little about yourself, your timeline, and any questions.

Happy to chat or show you the space in person or virtually. Can't wait to hear from you!

Jen

"I lived in the West Washington Park neighborhood in Denver on the 400th block of Washington Street South. Besides an annual block party, we didn’t have any other official community events. HOWEVER, this is still a special neighborhood because of the kind and neighborly people who live there. Everyone goes out of their way to say hello and are always willing to lend a helping hand. I formed some fantastic friendships with my neighbors and there’s nothing better than having your friends live in walking distance!"
  • Jeannie Harold
"There are some publicized events for certain neighborhoods, including holiday celebrations and weekend festivals."
  • totallyaverage

  • Brooke A
"Sloans Lake, West Colfax is diverse, close to the lake, great food options in Edgewater, breweries walking distance, easily accessible to 25 and 6th to quick get into the mountains. Platte Trail is a stones throw away which quickly routes you to the cherry creek trail. "

  • Hanan Garrett
"Light rail brings transients constantly! The huge movie theater went out of business and the entire parking lot is depressed! I believe they’re trying to change things around here, but they need to turn down the movie theater, which is huge and keep security on the move constantly. "
  • Alita Holly
"I just moved here, so I haven’t attended any neighborhood or community events. I live very close to the neighborhood elementary and middle school, so I see lots of kids walking around."
