Had my doubts at first (when we moved into the state and this school area) because of previous reviews but a talk with the office staff and principal at the beginning of the school year soon got rid of those. This is a school that is working very hard to make sure the children have a good education. The principal is very easy to communicate with and i havent found him to be rude at all, He is just basic facts and straight forward which is exactly what you need a principal to be. I bought a house out of this schools area after renting within the area and i will be doing everything to make sure my daughter can stay in this school.

"Avoid the Deer Park area, it’s full of drugs and rough people. NOT A GOOD AREA FOR A FAMILY. You have to lock doors and have had several issues with break ins."

"They may like how easy it is to just get out and walk then but we don’t have an actual dog park. And some areas of Nebo can be a little sketchy. "

"The natural beauty of this area is breath taking. I wish every place in North Carolina had the views, peace, and tranquility that this area has. Your not too far from big cities like Ashville, but far enough away from it to feel like heaven on earth!"

"Pristine lake in the mountains of NC. What more could one ask for? Hiking, boating, swimming. One of the best and newest state parks minutes away on the lake! Still fairly rural too."
