Description

This lovely 3-Level Split is located at the far end of a secluded, cul-de-sac. Teens who live here attend the highest ranking McLean High School. The house has four large bedrooms and two full baths upstairs and a 5th bedroom (and the 3rd full bathrom) on the lowest level. This lowest level has a "hide-away" sewing/crafts facility, and a wood/metal working shop. The main level is fully occupied in the central "Great Room" (Texas) style which leads through five glass doors over a spacious deck and onto a huge, 900 square foot, brick patio. All of these are served by an Updated Kitchen. In addtion, the main level flows down to a brightly lit, lower level Family/Media Room with a generously sized, wood burning fireplace. The entire lot BACKS ONTO A SECLUDED EDGE OF LEWINSVILLE PARK with privacy assured by a border formed by a fresh water stream. There's a 2-Car Carport (nose to tail) to avoid inclement weather. Floor plans and pictures available. Lastly, there is a 25'x25'x6' air conditioneds/heated & paved storage room beneath the "Great Room" entered from the laundry area. The storage area has automatic on/off lighting.

If you have to commute, there are four major highways within 1/2 mile (I-495, I-95, I-66 and the Dulles Airport Access Road). In addition, there's a local bus system and three new stations, soon to open, on the city-wide subway (Metro). Top ranked McLean High School, "downtown" village style shopping, the McLean Swim & Tennis Club (membership is available to homeowners), as well as Lewinsville Park (soccer, baseball, football, lacrosse, basketball, & tennis) where you can rent a "farming plot" from Fairfax County are all within walking distance!

"Many sidewalks, parks, close drive to activities, grocery stores, easy access to DC via metro, vehicle, bike, or under. Easy access to DCA and IAD via metro or driving. Numerous social opportunities locally and regionally, local traffic is not terrible. "
  • Ed Tapscott
"I have lived in McLean for more than 30 years. It is a wonderful place to raise one’s family while being close to downtown DC."
  • Darren
"Enjoy all that the Nation’s Capital has to offer. Also, Tyson’s and McLean offer an extremely rich and diverse restaurant scene!"
  • Ed Tapscott
"Public Transportation is varied and convenient. All of the DC area is accessible from McLean using public transportation."
  • Paigectsmith
"Beautiful homes, very hilly, fairly diverse. It is not necessarily unique, but it’s a beautiful place to live!"
  • Trulia User
"there are many families, this is good information to know so they can make better educated decisions "
  • Trulia User
"The commute to DC is approximately 40-45 mins. The traffic is steady it leaving home around 8:30am. "
  • Trulia User
"Lots of dogs being walked.. sadly, no dog parks for them to run around. But most people have yards they can run in."
  • Corraop
"I lived and worked in the Tyson's Corner area and LOVED it! I lived in the Fountains of McLean, which was in easy walking distance to just about everything. With quick access to the metro, bus, and, (soon to be) via the metro, the airport, there really is no reason to drive (and fight that DC traffic). If you do need to drive, Tyson's is the place to be as you can get get to just about everywhere in the DC area without getting jammed on 95/495 traffic. The the extra "no commute time" I was able to enjoy all the local amenities my condo had including the pool and - due to location - Tyson's Corner shopping and restaurants. Last (but not least), the Fountains of McLean was one of those rare condos that not only allowed pets but had lots of space for the ol' doggo to get his daily walk. Finally, although I didn't have any myself, I have heard that the school system in McLean is second to none! I miss you already, Fountains of McLean!"
  • Chris
"It’s safe and upscale. Best school zone in Virginia. Tyson’s corner is just 5min drive and both DCA and IAD air ports are with in 30min drive. DC is just 20minutes away as well. "
  • Priscilafunes
