Description

Entire House (not apartment) for rent. Giant, Giant, Giant yard - fenced for dogs, full sun for gardens! Interior has been repainted since the above photos - is not a light gray - the bathroom will be repainted between July 21- August 1.

One of the best locations in Durham: Northgate Park. The photos show it occupied. It will be empty. Midcentury modern jewel - with all the cute mid century trimmings. On a quiet tree-lined street in the midst of one of the coolest neighborhoods that has our locally famous dog park. Close to 85 for a quick zip to work, but walk east and you have a beautiful bike path straight to downtown. You can walk to downtown - there is a bridge over the interstate straight to Ellerby Creek Bike Path.

Two bedroom one bath with bonus room that could be third bedroom or office. Giant eat-in, work-in, entertain-in kitchen, generous living-room, big picture window in front, off-street parking, carport in fenced area, back yard shed. Black appliances, new paint, hardwood floors, tiled bathroom, washer and dryer in unit. Best of all - one of the biggest fenced yards in the neighborhood. Giant full sun front yard too, for your garden. Forget garden boxes: you can plow this with a tractor. This is one of the neighborhoods everyone is talking about. You would be hard pressed to buy a house over here for this amount of payment, and that would be if you could find anyone who would sell.

Best, Best, Best of all: Bring your dogs. All your dogs. Everyone around you has dogs. All the neighbors will know your name, and your dogs' names. If you have a dangerous breed or a problem dog, we can show you how to buy insurance for 30 a month.

One year lease required. First month's rent and full security deposit and pet fee required at signing. Any prorated month will be billed the second month. We do not accept applications from people who have not visited the house although for very serious applicants, we will allow video visits with proof of extenuating circumstances that prevent an in-person visit.
First available is August 1 (unless you desperately need to move July 22, and can live around the painters). Priority given to the earliest start date after August 1.
This property is off market, which means it's not currently listed for sale or rent on Trulia. This may be different from what's available on other websites or public sources.

"Dog park is near by in Northgate Park, most streets are low traffic enough to make walking dogs easy, Ellerbe Creek Trail una through the neighborhood, neighborhood listserv is very active and has helped get lost dogs home."
  • sgreennc
"Where old school neighborhood living meets modern life. Diverse, friendly, green, safe."
  • Page B.
"Northgate Park is a wonderful neighborhood! It's safe, walkable and diverse, and has a great sense of community. Amenities include the huge family-friendly park, close proximity to the Museum of Life and Science, walking trails, and a dog park. Cute post-war era cottages are predominate, but there are some larger houses as well. Large/deep lots with lots of mature trees are the norm, and people maintain their landscaping and the houses as well. Magnet elementary school is within walking distance of most."
  • Joyce h.
"Excellent neighborhood, great community feeling, neighbors helping neighbors."
