4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat school, 2 kids attended Curtis and both did well and continue to do well because of the work done by teachers preparing them for future studies. Being involved with the school and staff makes a difference! Would highly recommend Curtis as place for your kids education path and also solicit your involvement with what goes on at the school.Parent Review10y ago13 Reviews - Leapwood Avenue Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery poor rating in terms of their autism class. The teacher seamed like she did not know how to teach a classroom let alone autistic children. She was also very discouraging to the students. The Autism class also exceeded the usual number of students in the classroom. The leadership made up for it by placing individuals to help but seemed like they were not expienced with working with autistic children.Parent Review7y ago16 Reviews - Rancho Dominguez Preparatory

"Carson is a convenient location because it’s close to multiple freeways. I drive a lot for work so that is important."

"Depending on the street, traffic gets congested at some points. There are a lot of schools in my area so that’s also a key factor in planning for your commute as well. Lastly I’d also like to point out that Carson street has only two lanes and when a bus pulls over it often cause a lot of congestion. "

"Street traffic gets slow during rush hours. The freeway is nearby, so it’s easy to get to downtown. The public transport to downtown is reasonable."

"Carson is centrally located to both LAX and Long Beach airports. My work commute is 15 minutes on the 405 and 710 freeway into Downtown Long Beach. 110 freeway also intersects the City of Carson, as a main thoroughfare into Downtown LA. "
