Description
Gloriously spacious, sunny 2 BR 1 BA apartment, pet friendly, with in-unit laundry and good laminate wood floors throughout needs someone to take over my lease from Sep 1 - Aug 15, 2022 (with renewal an option). That's right, you can move in as early as Aug. 22 and get a week+ free! Last minute move had to happen here!
Not pictured here are two wooden built-in floor-to-ceiling cabinets for storage and display in the hallways (difficult to photograph) and a giant, 4.5' x 9' walk-in space with high shelves in the back near the rear entrance, which I have used to store a large industrial double clothing rack--this could also be used to store kayaks, etc., if you are less obsessed with clothes than I am. It's big.
Spacious kitchen could have a small dining table in it instead of the kitchen carts, depending on your needs. I'd also be happy to leave behind one of my carts if you need one.
Only two other tenants in the building. My neighbor upstairs just renewed and he is super quiet and nice. Downstairs is a restaurant, which is relatively quiet, and the owner is very friendly.
In these images the front room is being used as an office, but it has previously been used as a bedroom. You can see the capitol from it, esp at night and during the winter when there is less foliage.
There are two well-loved couches in the living room that I am happy to leave behind if you need some furniture. The landlord also provides one really amazing a/c unit for the front of the apt. I am happy to leave behind my rear window unit as well.
Parking space out back serviced by prompt snow removal--everything runs smoothly here. The landlord is great, very knowledgeable and responsive, will fix things (and well) himself, is not some kind of giga-real-estate tyrant/corporation but rather a human.
LOCATION: As you can see on the map, this is close to everything, easy access to bike paths, UW, buses, lakes, great grocery stores. James Madison Park is a 5 minute walk, Festival Foods is two blocks away. You can also walk two blocks to the best cocktail bar in Madison if that's your thing.
It was a surprise (a good one, but still) that I had to leave, and I will miss this place a lot. The beauty and light of this place single-handedly made the pandemic livable for me, tbh, and I hope you future tenant(s) get to experience it under better conditions!
