Teachers and staff care about all the kids. Lots of different learning opportunities. Big playground and library. Music, art and gym for all the kids. Lots of after school activities, sports and community education classes.

Went there for like 12 years? Didnt accommodate my brothers disabilities. Disappointed.

Lockwood's Montessori program has some of the best teachers in the entire district (although some that definitely aren't the best either). Be careful though because it's still Eaton Rapids Public Schools and like another reviewer said this district is NOT sensitive or educated to Special Needs and will damage those children without constant parental vigilence and involvement.

The bare minimum. Since 2008, my children have been enrolled in the district. This has been our experience with the teaching staff in this district. It has been rare that we encounter more than one teacher at a time during the school year who displays an added motivation and enthusiasm for engaging and compelling students in a meaningful way. The bare minimum is what you will get if as a parent you fail to daily engage in your child's educational development within this district, because the teachers, who are lacking in general, fail to incite a drive into engaging and inspiring lesson planning and teaching tools. Just getting through the day seems to be the goal, as the staff and administrators lack funding and resources to motivate even themselves.
