"Being stationed at fort sill and living in Elgin is great! It’s a short 20 min drive from front door to the gate and I never sit in traffic. I can order food before I leave work and it’s ready by the time I get into town. Small town living, its quiet and all the neighbors are friendly"

"Our community is very wonderful. Its built around our school here so its close-knit. My husband and I grew up here. He's been here since 89 and I've been here since 90. We have people on our street we went to school with. Events: Maple St. Mafia Karaoke Parties, Halloween, Back to school assistance for our students hosted by the local churches, Crods n Rods, Parades."

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost a year but in Elgin for almost 2. This is an awesome great community to live & be a part of. It reminds me of the small town that I grew up in where people take care of each other & support the schools & students as a community. The whole town comes to the Football, Basketball, Baseball & Volleyball games whether they have kids or not. It it quiet & the sky is beautiful. The police make sure our town stays safe."

"Military town with veterans, contractors, and law enforcement as the majority. The rest is all farm land. At night you can see all the stars in the sky and it’s really quiet. "

"I moved to Elgin about a month ago and it feels like home. The town has everything you could need within a 5min drive. There are great restaurants (BBQ, Mexican, Chinese, pizza, hamburgers, and country food), a grocery store, gas station, and more. The people are nice and the air is clean. "

"We have lived here for about a year and we love our neighbours. It is nice and quiet for the most part. Pre-k to high school is right down the road. It would be nice to see the people in out more. Elgin is small so you see a lot of the same people around if you get out and walk around or if you just do yard work people will dive by and waive. "
