I have had two children go through Riverside Middle School, and they have had great experiences! The rating here does not at all reflect the experience we have had. Wonderful teachers and great programs for students.

I've lived in Riverside for almost 10 years now. When I came into the town it seemed run down, loud, and generally unsafe. When the pandemic hit these qualities were exacerbated (besides the noise) and we were debating on moving out of this area. I'm glad we stayed though, over time they have really worked hard on cleaning up around town and provide a nice area to raise our kiddos. This is also present in our schools. They have made massive expansions and improvements due to having a budget allowed to do so, providing students with a better environment and learning opportunities. The teachers I have worked with have all been wonderful with my kiddos and worked tirelessly to help them feel heard and helped when they have needed it. With it being a small town everyone is personal with each other and the classrooms are smaller which allows personalized learning. The path the town is on will bring great things to everyone in it, I'm happy I get to be here to experience that.

When my 2 children attended there I always appreciated what the principal, vice principal and teachers did. Always visible and caring, with a clear sight of how to properly run a school. I was fortunate to be able to volunteer often and was able to see how the staff interacted with the children. I looked forward to every special event the school hosted. It's a shame that the school is only rated as a 2. Since we moved, my children now attend a school rated as an 8 and there are so many issues with the school and how the children are taught. It truly makes me appreciate Riverside, I wish we could come back so my children could start enjoying school again.
