"I’ve lived here for 5 years. I love it! My neighbor is amazing and I have had really no issues… there a bit of traffic in the alley way and some sketchy people that walk back there but over all it’s a great place to live!"

"Oleander is one of bakersfield oldest neighborhoods...it may have a few areas that need to be improved due to the increase in the homeless population, but they even choose the area because of how quiet it is"

"Lots of off leash dogs. I carry dog pepper spray as a deterrent just in case one is overly aggressive. Neighbors pit gets out and roams regularly. "

"Overrun by the homeless, theft, property destruction and homeless animals. Most neighbors keep to themselves have their windows, blinds, shutters closed and locked. Constant fire and police sirens along with fireworks and gunshots throughout the night. Most people try to take pride in their home and property but many are just renters and could care less about the property."
