The entire school district is outstanding, but Burnett has really worked hard at turning into one of the top schools in Collin County. Teachers are engaged and involved. Coaches, theatre, and music teachers are amazing and give so much of their own time. The AP and accelerated learning programs leaps and bounds better than what we saw in the elementary schools. ISD administration is involved and aware. Test scores are up, while test pressure is down. All in all, even though we live in one of the highest taxed school districts in the state, the budget is clearly worth it.

It is a great school for all kids

This an amazing school. The student body is diverse, the parents are involved, and there is almost NO teacher turnover! This means you get teachers who are experienced and dedicated. The test data is high and students are given tons of educational experiences. Cox has been a great place for my children to go to school!

We’re so happy we moved to Wylie. We chose our home because of the school district and we couldn’t be happier. Our boys have been in WISD for 4 years and it’s been a rewarding and fulfilling experience. The music programs, both band and choir are amazing! The teachers care about their students. My boys are happy and thriving. We’re happy to have both at Wylie East this year.
